Social Committee

Grand Reserve has a social committee that is a separate group from the HOA and is not funded by HOA dues. The purpose of the social committee is to build our neighborhood community through opportunities to get together.

Social Committee – The social committee is coordinated by Lori Kaufmann and Cherrie Anderson. There are many people on the committee and a number of people that help plan the events. Please reach out to Lori or Cherrie if you would like to join us.

Events:

  • Men’s Monthly Breakfast – 2nd Wednesday of the Month at Buttered Toast 9:00 am
  • Women’s Luncheon – 1st Monday of the Month every other month (February, April, June, August, October, December)
  • Dinner Out – Every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November)
  • Quarterly Social Events as planned

Groups:

  • Mahjong Group plays on Tuesday afternoons
  • Book Group meets on the 2nd Monday of the month
  • Many other interests, let us know if you would like to begin or join a group

Facebook:

  • Grand Reserve has a private Facebook group – Friends of Grand Reserve, Algonquin. 
  • The purpose of the group is for neighbors to reach out and engage one another. See an event in the area? Let your neighbors know. Hope to borrow a tool or something? Check it out with your neighbors. Want to be friendly? Reach out and say hi
  • The Facebook Group is part of the Social Committee and is not an HOA page. The HOA does not run or moderate the group. It is independent of the HOA 
  • To join the group please search for Friends of Grand Reserve, Algonquin. It will ask for some information and the group administrators will complete the process. If you have issues, please reach out to Lori at ljkgrhoa@gmail.com

  • The Social Committee sends out a monthly calendar. You can find it here
  • If you do not want to receive the monthly calendar, just respond to the email asking to be taken off that list.
