About Grand Reserve Algonquin

A community of 178 single-family homes, duplexes and manor homes with close access to parks, nature trails and various wildlife, Grand Reserve is a 55+ active adult community in Algonquin, Illinois.

The Grand Reserve Algonquin Master Association Inc. is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation commonly referred to as the Grand Reserve Algonquin HOA. The Total Property is intended to provide housing primarily for persons 55 years of age or older and shall be operated as an age-restricted residential community in compliance with applicable laws.

The purposes of this Association are to act on behalf of its members collectively, as their governing body, with respect to the preservation, care, maintenance, replacement, the promotion of the health, safety and welfare, and the common use and enjoyment thereof by members of the Association, all on a not-for-profit basis.  

The Association is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of not less than three (3) or more than five (5) persons, each of whom shall be an Owner or Voting Member, elected by the majority vote of the Owners entitled to vote at such meeting. The Board of Directors is tasked with oversight of the daily functions and financial responsibilities of the Association, (i.e., review proposals, hire contractors, and provide and maintain financial budgets/forecasts and monthly assessment dues). The Board is also responsible for ensuring residents adhere to the established Covenants and Bylaws of the Association.
